This weekend we visited Paul's Toy Room in Parlin, NJ and it was delightful. The store was originally based out of the Englishtown Flea Market and named the The Toy Room, we did a review of it about 4 years ago. The new store is much improved and really highlights the inventory that was sometimes obscured at the old location or just not available. Paul's Toy Room specializes in retro toys from the 70's, 80's and 90's but also has toys from more recent years. This is a must go place if your searching for that missing, Star Wars, GiJoe, or Transformers figure. When you first enter the store you are greeted by an epic collection of vintage Robotech figures but don't think your going to pick one up because its only for sale if you plan on buying the complete lot which will cost you a pretty penny.
The owner Paul is a friendly guy and he will gladly talk to you for an extended period about toys and such. When I went there a few collectors in the shop were all having a nice chat about toys among other things. I picked up a Takara Transformers Masterpiece Soundwave MP-13 during my visit. The aisles are filled with toys from head to toe, it is a must visit for any avid toy collector, I highly recommend it.
