Chrysler says, “Let’s Refuel America!” I say, “Let’s Unfuel America!”
Have you seen these commercials on TV? It’s all about proliferating the consumption of gasoline with no concern for the environment just because they screwed up by producing too many gas-guzzling vehicles which are becoming increasingly difficult to sell each day that gas prices rise. The program rewards buyers of cars proportionally to fuel inefficiency. The cars that waste the most fuel have the highest rewards, not only in the amount of gas that can be purchased at $2.99/gallon, but also in $1000 rebates. Buyers of fuel efficient cars receive no reward at all. The Bottom line is the company is so concerned about getting rid of their wasteful, environmentally unfriendly product, that they will pay people to purchase them. If they really wanted to help America, they would convert these cars over to hybrid, natural gas, or bio-diesel.
